Lines2shapes  | From lines to shapes to create art

Kaz Mak is based in the U.K. and is always finding ways to channel her creativity.

From helping backstage in school productions with costumes and artwork to an opportunity to illustrate the school magazine, Kaz has had an interest in art from an early age and continued to nurture her interest through multiple short courses at the University of Arts, London.

Kaz combines her passion of calligraphy with line work and painting to create fashion illustration pieces, which have been published in print in multiple magazines. A piece was also selected as part of the top 100 artworks in the IFIW (International Fashion Illustration Week) by FIDA, 2024.

Her pieces range from one-line or minimalistic pieces in ink, which focuses on the shapes and fabric folds created by the fashion designs, to the inclusion of colour with the aim of bringing out the details and characters of the designs.
